25th-29th June 2007, Dr. Cuntai Guan, Head of Neural Signal Processing Lab, Institute for Inforcomm Research. Singapore, visited the BCI Group at Essex.
24th January 2007, the AABAC team from Essex demonstrated their recently developed motor imagery based online BCI for robotic control, in the studio of the Lion TV in London, for making a TV program about science for teenagers.

On 13th July 2006, Nature published an article and a letter on brain-computer interfaces. Dr. Francisco Sepulveda and Dr. John Gan have been contacted for comments. Part of their comments have been included in news reports of Belfast Telegraph, Daily Mail, Independent, Nature, and The Sun.
On 5th June 2006, the AABAC project was presented to a panel of US academics for International Assessment of Brain-Computer Interface Research supported by the National Science Foundation (USA).
