29th April-2nd May 2009, the AABAC team presented 2 papers at the IEEE EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering in Antalya, Turkey.

 

19th-22nd September 2008, the AABAC team presented 3 papers at the BCI Workshop in Graz, Austria.

 

20th-24th August 2008, the ABBAC team presented 2 papers at the IEEE EMBS 2008 in Vancouver, Canada.

 

15th July 2008, Richard Gray, science correspondent from Sunday Telegraph, visited Essex and tried our EMG/EOG-controlled wheelchair and brain-computer interface system by himself. Read his article here and watch a video footage here.

 

23rd-27th August 2007, the ABBAC team presented 2 papers at the IEEE EMBS 2007 in Lyon, France.

 

25th-29th June 2007, Dr. Cuntai Guan, Head of Neural Signal Processing Lab, Institute for Inforcomm Research. Singapore, visited the BCI Group at Essex.

 

24th January 2007, the AABAC team from Essex demonstrated their recently developed motor imagery based online BCI for robotic control, in the studio of the Lion TV in London, for making a TV program about science for teenagers.

 

12th~16th November 2006, Prof. Shangkai Gao from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, visited the BCI Group at Essex.

 

9th~10th November 2006, the AABAC team presented 2 papers at the BCI Workshop in Rome, Italy.

 

21st-23rd September 2006, the AABAC team presented 5 papers at the BCI Workshop in Graz, Austria.

 

On 13th July 2006, Nature published an article and a letter on brain-computer interfaces. Dr. Francisco Sepulveda and Dr. John Gan have been contacted for comments. Part of their comments have been included in news reports of Belfast Telegraph, Daily Mail, Independent, Nature, and The Sun.

 

On 5th June 2006, the AABAC project was presented to a panel of US academics for International Assessment of Brain-Computer Interface Research supported by the National Science Foundation (USA).
