Nationals from many countries need a visa to enter Turkey. For some, you can simply obtain a visa at your port of entry or airport by paying a fee (approx 15 EUR or 10 GBP or 20 USD) when you arrive. For other nationals, you must apply to the nearest local Turkish consulate in advance (leave plenty of time!).

Passport holders are normally required to have at least six months validity on their passports when they enter Turkey, so check when your passport expires.
