The electronic-Generic auction marketplace (e-Game) is a generic online auction platform that supports both human and software agents. The main feature of e-Game is that it supports the design, implementation and execution of market based scenarios.

e-Game can be used for teaching topics in agents and multi-agent systems, negotiation protocols and market based institutions as well as conducting research into negotiation protocols, market institutions and strategic behaviour. In particular, practitioners can use e-Game to demonstrate different types of auctions, as well as set coursework and other interactive exercises based on the game scenarios that are currently available. Students can put into practice the principles taught in theory and they can also have a hands-on experience by developing their own trading agents to participate in the game scenarios. We also provide the code for dummy agents to help the students get started. Students can also design and implement their own electronic marketplaces based on the e-Game platform.

For further information or if you would like to use e-Game in your course please contact mfasli [at] essex [dot] ac [dot] uk
